1. Port Rotation

Type in the ports you want to calculate the distances between. When you exit the port field you are typing in, the DDT will verify the port name. If your text matches more than one port you will get all the maches in a list where you can choose by clicking at the correct port.

This means that if you are unsure about the spelling, just type in the first letters of the port name, and the DDT will display all the ports that match the text you typed. The maximum number of ports you can calculate the distance between is 8 at the moment.

When you are finished typing in your port rotation, press the «Calculate distances» button.


2. Port Menu
  1. Insert New Point
  2. Inserts a empty port field for typing in a new port name (if you have filled out all 8 ports, the last one will disappear).
  3. Remove from port rotation
  4. Removes the selected port from the rotation.
  5. Cancel
  6. Closes the menu.

4. Distance / Duration

Between the ports in the port rotation you can see the distance in nautical miles and the duration in days separated with at slash. The total distance and duration is displayed below the map.


5. Speed

Adjust the speed according to your vessel's spesification. You will see the duration of the voyage changing.


6. Calcualte distances

Press «Calculate distances» button when your port rotation is ready for calculation. If you update the port rotation, you must click the button again.


7. Map Toolbar
  1. Back button: Shows the previous zoomlevel on the map.
  2. Zoom in button: Zooms in on the map where you click the map, you can also drag a square to zoom in to that location only.
  3. Zoom out button: Zooms out on the map where you click the map.
  4. Pan button: Use this to drag the map to a different pan.
  5. Show map button: Shows the whole map.
  6. Print, prints the map only. Dataloy recommends to use the print button in the browser (File/Print) or «Ctrl + P» hotkey.
